Shared use

Please note that residential groups do not have exclusive use of the site, there are often several groups camping or visiting for the day.

Due to the location, Herons Wey is also popular with Duke of Edinburgh Groups and you may also see groups of participants walking onto site in the afternoons and off site in the morning.

Herons Wey Shop

A variety of items are stocked, including badges, stationery items and a range of Paxmead souvenirs – all of which are for sale at reasonable ‘pocket money’ prices.

The shop is run by volunteers and is usually open from 10.00am – 12pm on Saturdays.

A shop visit can be booked via the office.

Herons Wey Site Activities

Paxmead offers a variety of onsite activities, which can be added to your booking.  Please view the Activities page for details.
